Nantucket And Shaker
Basket Classes
Nathan has been a basket maker for more than 25 years now. It is one of
his loves and passion and he is very happy to share his basket making expertise
with others. Nathan gives personal instruction in many Nantucket baskets,
including Nantucket purse making. Nathan also offers Shaker Reproduction
basket lessons. He is co-author of the book “Shaker Baskets”, the
culmination of a 10-year study of Shaker basket making history. All splint
for these baskets are made on site from tree to basket. Molds are derived
from the originals loaned by the museums. Authenticity is what we teach.

Tuesday Open Weave Classes in Warner, NH
3 Sessions - $10.00 per session plus materials.
Beginner classes
in Shaker and Nantucket basket making. Two sessions. 9:00 am to 11:30 am or 1:00 pm to 3:30
pm.

All levels classes
in Shaker and Nantucket basket making. Evening Session from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

One Day Classes in Splint Making in
Warner, NH
Nate will demonstrate all techniques of splint
making from the tree run splint to fine finishes.

All of the classes are hosted by Nathan and Kathy and are a time to enjoy a
little basket making with other basket making enthusiasts. Classes are
given in Warner, New Hampshire. All necessary conveniences such as
restaurants and lodging are nearby. All levels of experience are welcome.
Classes are for expert and novices alike. If you have a suggestion for a

Putting Together Our Only Teaching Tour for 2005
We are going to the
Georgia Convention in February 2005. Classes in Naples, Florida are

time to make stops elsewhere on our way back to New Hampshire.
