Shaker Country Clean Splint
Shaker Country Clean Splint was not split to satin. The sanded sides were used as the finished side. Most Shaker country clean splint was used on large baskets. By not splitting the splint it was thicker and better suited for this purpose. Apple baskets and shop baskets were most often made of country clean splint.
